Few months back, I saw a post in Instagram which says less consumption of meat and dairy products or to be precise being a vegan can reduce the carbon footprints and creates a better world.. To be honest, I was very confused on what is it related with meats I eat and the increase of carbon footprints. It was like chalk and cheese to me. Of course I do some research to have a better understanding but it was a failure as it was too complicated to me i guess. But finally i understand what it is all about when I watch a video about it. It was simple and clear. And now let me explain you how it works because you will be shocked that you avoiding meats fasten the process of reducing global warming than planting trees...

These days, the demands for meats and dairies had increased for the usage of food industries and us as well. For instance, KFC, McDonalds, Subway, ice cream, cheese and chocolates.

In this case, production should be increased to meet our wants. Farming should be done in a larger scale. Thus, we need a bigger land and so massive deforestation and burning the forest is been done. Imagine what will happen if a forest which plays a major role in absorbing the CO2 is chopped off. It will results in rise of global temperature. This is what exactly happen to Amazon rainforest in Brazil (2019). Open burning of forest is done nearly every year in Indonesia for agriculture purpose.

As a neighboring country (Malaysia), we experience lots of air pollution, haze and heat. This is the relation between the consumption of meet and increase in carbon emissions.

Besides for the good sake of environment, the cruelty towards poultry and agriculture animals in order to put them on our dinner plate is too much and injustice.. We should consider on being a vegan or vegetarian not only for environmental purpose but also to avoid cruelty against the animals. I used to be a fan of meats but now I realise my mistakes and turn into a new leaf. Hope you will too and see you in next blog. Leave your doubts in the comment section.
