Hi everyone!!! I hope you have a wonderful day but if you don't that is absolutely fine. Everyday is a new day so be energize for tomorrow's adventure. In today's blog I think we are gonna discuss a very interesting and informative as well because we are going to talk about banana. By now I can hear some SSHHH here. Hey guys I know it is a taboo one but by categorising some talks as taboo or controversy just because you are feeling uncomfortable with it is not going to benefit any of us right and sometimes this type of mentality makes things even bad. I would say that we should discuss about topics like this in a proper manner and not in cheap or nasty way so let's discover and reveal something interesting and new with me.

What is the difference between Khatna and Sunnath? First of all, let me explain you what is Khatna. Khatna is a Islamic term for circumcision. For those who are newbies, your brain by now must be trying to figure out what is circumcision. Circumcision means to cut around? Cut aroooooound...... Paper? NOOO!!! A circumsicion is a surgical procedure that removes the foreskin (the loose tissue) covering the glans (rounded tip) of the penis (man's private part). At birth, the foreskin is fully attached to the penis. In time, the foreskin separates and can be retracted (pulled back).

I remember those days in primary school where boys will be chatting about circumcision and I mistook it for cutting the whole penis and it will regrow again until I discovered the real meaning behind it. I know friends my imagination is way to much ridiculous and awful but you know what its not my fault because no one tells me about this at all (except my mom). And that is why I am here to share with you what it is all about from top to bottom. Circumcision is done to boys and also girls in Jews, Coptic Christian and Muslim community. However, today's focus will be only male circumcision from Islam's view since the only community who practices circumcision in Malaysia is Muslims. The ritual is not a compulsory but highly recommended in Islam. One major reason given for the ritual is cleanliness. It is essential that every Muslim washes before praying. Muslims believe that by cutting out the foreskin, it will ensure that there is no urine trapped in penis. Besides this, circumcision is also done to avoid sexually transmitted diseases. How does this make sense? They can just wear a condom right instead of going through a surgical process.

Yes, you are right but condom was only invented in 1855 which means there was no protection during the prophets time to avoid sexual diseases. More over, there was no soaps or awareness on hygiene for them to frequently bath and clean the private part after urination which lead to infection and sickness. In Malaysia and other regions, the boys usually undergoes the procedure at health facilities or hospital between the ages of ten and twelve and thus, a puberty rite, serving to introduce him into new status of adult. The circumciser can be a male or female and they are not required to be a Muslim. You might be wondering whether the boys will feel the pain by going through circumcision. Yes of course they will because foreskin is not like nail, hair or umbilical cord but a tissue full with nerves and blood flow.

Sometimes, having circumcision with unprofessional people can cause overflow of blood or even death. After all this, it is fascinating that Khatna is not mentioned in Quran but in Hadith Collection, of the Muslim, Fiqh-us Sunnah- ( 1/1/1.021 A)- Abu Hurayra section : circumcision

Now if Khatna is circumcision then what about Sunnath? I am pretty sure that most of us especially non-muslim assume that Sunnath is circumcision. But don't worry guys, our most believed friend, Google, is wrong this time too.

Sunnath is NOT circumcision. Sunnath originate from the Arabian word Sunnah which means a habitual practice of prophet Muhammad (Nabi Muhammad SAW) which eventually will be follow by his followers. For instance, shaving pubic hair with razor, trimming the mustache, paring one's nails and circumcision as well. Khatna is one of the Sunnah. I hope I make it very clear on what is the difference between Khatna and Sunnath. This time I have only discuss on the pros of circumcision while the cons will be discussed in another blog. I think its time for TRIVIA now!!!!!!!!!

'It is said that man who have sexual intercourse after going through circumcision will tend to have less sexual satisfaction and at times they will also have less interest in having sexual intercourse. This happens because the foreskin which consists of nerves that trigures sexual interest and gives sexual satisfaction is been cut off.'

That's all for today's blog. Leave me your thoughts and doubts in the comment section below. See you buddies in my next blog with an interesting topic again. Have a nice day guys!!!

Disclaimer: I am doing my best to convey the best and most agreeable information to you. I had gone through many videos and websites to learn about circumcision more. Please do correct me if anything is wrong. We can learn together on culture, tradition and diversity all over the world.
